The off-Broadway non-profit Vineyard Theatre has announced complete casting for its upcoming NY premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel's new play with music Indecent, co-created and directed by Rebecca Taichman and presented in association with La Jolla Playhouse and Yale Repertory Theatre. Previews begin on 27 April 2016, before an official opening on 17 May and a limited engagement through to 5 June 2016.

The cast of Indecent includes Katrina Lenk, Mimi Lieber, Max Gordon Moore, Tom Nelis, Steven Rattazzi, Richard Topol and Adina Verson.

Synopsis: "Indecent is inspired by the true events surrounding the controversial 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's 'God of Vengeance,' a play seen by some as a seminal work of Jewish culture, and by others as an act of traitorous libel. Indecent charts the history of an incendiary drama and the artists who risked their careers and lives to perform it."

The play features music by Lisa Gutkin and Aaron Halva and choreography by David Dorfman.
