True Love: Is P!nk's musical still Broadway-bound?
Is the Great White Way about to get a little pinker? It has been reported that the musical, previously entitled MEAN (The Musical), which is inspired by the life and music of three-time Grammy Award winner P!nk is still on course for Broadway.
The project has now changed its title to True Love (after her 2013 single) and will hold a second developmental workshop at the Emerging Artists Theatre's New Works Series festival at TADA! Theater on 10 October 2015. The first workshop was held there in May 2015.
True Love is directed by Jonathan Warman, and features a book by Kerri Kochanski and music and lyrics by Alecia Moore (P!nk's legal name). It also features choreography by Liz Piccoli.
There is no timeline or casting yet for the Broadway-bound musical.
P!nk has so far released six studio albums, winning 3 Grammys and earning a further 12 Grammy nominations. Her screen credits include 'Ski to the Max,' 'Catacombs,' 'Happy Feet Two,' and 'Thanks for Sharing,' along with cameo appearances in 'Rollerball,' 'Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle,' 'Get Him to the Greek,' and 'SpongeBob SquarePants.'
