'Toughing Slumaria' at Center Stage

Original Intent Theater presents Toughing Slumaria, by Janeen Stevens, opening at Center Stage from the 29 Oct 2005, following previews from the 25 Oct and playing through to the 13 Nov 2005.

In Toughing Slumaria four young single mothers from different ethnic backgrounds--who live in the same apartment building, and who share the common need of public assistance to get by--through their endurance of a sexually predatory landlord, form a bond which strengthens as they seek a way out of their situation to pursue lives of safety and dignity.

The cast for Toughing Slumaria, directed by Barry Gomolka, features: Scott Van Tuyl, Ali Squitieri, Maire-Rose Pike, Chudney Sykes, Jahnavi Rennison, Barbara Miluski, Lane Wray, Stephanie English, Erin Fogel, Manny Liyes, and Ray Wasik.

Toughing Slumaria has set design by Hoyt Charles, cosyumes by Georgien Cooney and lighting by Hillery Makatura.
