Tony Award Nominations to be announced on the 16 May 2006

The Tony Award Nominations will be announced on the 16 May 2006 by Tony Award winners Phylicia Rashad, Natasha Richardson and Liev Schreiber at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Bruno Walter Auditorium.

Phylicia Rashad was awarded the 2004 Tony for best actress in a play (A Raisin in the Sun), Natasha Richardson won the 1998 Tony for best actress in a musical (Cabaret) and Liev Schrieber won the 2005 Tony for best featured actor in a play (Glengarry Glen Ross).

The 2006 Tony Award ceremony will be held at Radio City Music Hall on the 11 Jun 2006 and will be broadcast live on CBS-TV.
