Three Changes, extends by one week, Tim Hopper to join cast from 30 Sep

Playwrights Horizons has announced that it will extend its World Premiere production of Three Changes, a new play by Nicky Silver.

The play opens at Playwrights Horizons main stage on 16 Sep 2008, following previews from 22 Aug, for a limited engagement that was originally scheduled to end on 28 Sep 2008, but will now play through to 3 Oct 2008.

From 30 Sep 2008, Obie Award winner Tim Hopper will assumes the role of 'Nate' from original cast member Dylan McDermott who cannot play the extension due to prior commitments.

Tim Hopper won an Obie Award for his performance in New York Theatre Workshop's production of 'More Stately Mansions.' He appeared earlier this year in Atlantic Theater's production of Ethan Coen's 'Almost an Evening.'

Three Changes: Nate and Laurel are a comfortably married, Upper West Side couple until Nates wayward brother Hal arrives from Hollywood. What at first seems a casual visit, a chance to reconnect, is quickly revealed as something more ominous. Hal may have had success, but human connection is all that matters, and he intends to make connections no matter who pays the price.

Directed by Wilson Milam, Three Changes currently features Aya Cash (Steffi), Scott Cohen (Hal), Dylan McDermott, Brian J. Smith (Gordon) and Maura Tierney (Laurel).

The creative team includes: Neil Patel (sets), Theresa Squire (costumes), Ben Stanton (lighting) and Bart Fasbender (sound).
