'The Three Musketeers' at the Wing's Theatre


The Wings Theatre presents The Three Musketeers, a new musical based on Alexandre Dumas' novel with book and lyrics by Clint Jeffries and music by Paul L. Johnson, plays at the Wing Theatre from the 15 Apr - 14 May 2005.

The Three Musketeers is the third new musical in their 2004/2005 New Musicals Series. The second musical in the series Fools In Love, is currently playing at the same venue and will close on the 9 Apr 2005

The Three Musketeers is set in 1600's France, and tells the story of D'Artagnan, a brash, impetuous youth from the provinces, sets out for Paris to seek his fortune. His fiery temper and ready sword soon find him three inseparable companions, Athos, Porthos and Aramis, the Three Musketeers. It is their adventures and trials, the struggles with the brilliant Cardinal Richelieu and the deadly Milady de Winter, the glory, disappointment, heartbreak, love and death that make a headstrong young man into a true Musketeer.

Jeffrey Corrick directs a cast of 21 actors headed by: Ryan Boda as D'Artagnan; Steven Cabral as Athos; David Velarde as Aramis, David Weitzer as Porthos; David Macaluso as Cardinal Richelieu; Pamela Brumley as Milady de Winter; and Kim Reed as Anne of Austria.

The Three Musketeers has choreographer by Kate Swan, set design by Bekka Lindstrome, costumes by Tom Claypool and lighting by Sean Linehan. Paul L. Johnson is the musical director.
