It wasn't over, it still isn't over! The Notebook, a new musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks's novel, will premiere on Broadway in 2024. Performances begin at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on February 10 ahead of a March 14 opening night.

The Notebook follows Allie and Noah, two lovers who continue to find their way to each other over a lifetime, even as multiple forces pull them apart. The novel inspired a hit 2004 film starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.

The musical adaptation premiered in fall 2022 at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it received critical acclaim. Bekah Brunstetter, a writer and producer on NBC's This Is Us, adapts Sparks's novel for the stage, and music and lyrics are by Ingrid Michaelson. Michael Greif returns from the Chicago production to direct alongside Schele Williams.

The Notebook also features choreography by Katie Spelman, scenic design by David Zinn and Brett J. Banakis, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Ben Stanton, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, and hair and wig design by Mia Neal, and music direction by Geoffrey Ko. Music supervision by Carmel Dean, who also collaborated on arrangements with Michaelson and on orchestrations with John Clancy.

Casting for The Notebook on Broadway has yet to be announced.
