The North Pool: Vineyard announces cast

The Vineyard Theatre have announced the cast for their New York premiere of The North Pool, a new play by Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo - B'way), opening at the Vineyard on 06 Mar 2013, following previews from 14 Feb 2013, and closing on 24 Mar 2013.

Directed by Giovanna Sardelli (Animals Out of Paper - Second Stage), The North Pool will star Stephen Barker Turner (Richard III - Public) as 'Dr. Danielson' and Babak Tafti (Off-B'way debut) as 'Khadim Asmaan.'

The North Pool: A high school vice principal (Turner) and a Middle Eastern-born transfer student (Tafti) engage in a politically and emotionally charged game of cat and mouse, with dangerous consequences.

The creative team has scenic design by Donyale Werle, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by David Lander and sound design by Daniel Kluger (TRIBES).

Giovanna Sardelli directed Babak Tafti as 'Khadim Asmaan' in the East coast premiere of The North Pool, which played at the Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, MA, from 26 Jul - 11 Aug 2013.
