The Moonlight Room at the Bank Street Theatre

Larrikin Productions presents The Moonlight Room, by Tristine Skyler, opening at the Bank Street Theatre on 10 Feb 2008, following prevews from 7 Feb and running through to 17 Feb 2008.

The Moonlight Room: Centers around Sal and Josh, two troubled 16 year old Manhattanites who find themselves in a hospital waiting room at 1:30 in the morning anxiously awaiting word about their friend Lightfield, who has overdosed on drugs. The two are soon joined by Sal's worried mother, depressed that she seems to be losing touch with her daughter, and Lightfield's enraged father, who blames the hard-partying Josh for giving his son the drugs that may kill him. As the night unfolds and Lightfield's condition worsens, the four react to the grave situation in their own ways: there is a bit of understanding, a reconciliation of sorts...and for one, a rash decision that may lead to tragedy.

Directed by Nicole Kempskie, The Moonlight Room features Jeffrey Farber, Denise Hungerford, Mara Kassin, Leo Kin and Matthew Murumba.
