The Lieutenant of Inishmore: three new members of cast join show on 22 Aug

Three young actors, Jordan Bridges, Christopher Denham and Jerzy Gwiazdowski, join the cast of the acclaimed The Lieutenant of Inishmore beginning 22 Aug 2006 replacing Jeff Binder (James), David Wilmot (Padraic) and Domhnall Gleeson (Davey), respectively.

Jeff Binder will play his final performance 18 Aug 2006 and Domhnall Gleeson and David Wilmot will perform theirs on 20 Aug 2006.

Jordan Bridges (James) is making his Broadway debut, his Off-Broadway credits: Big Al (ArcLight Theater) and The Dying City (Naked Angels/Culture Project).

Christopher Denham (Padraic) Broadway credits include playing Hallie in the revival of Harold and The Boys (2003). Off-Broadway credits include playing Matt in Adam Rapp's Red Light Winter (2006), for which he won a Lucille Lortel Award.

Jerzy Gwiazdowski (Davey) is making his Broadway Debut.

The Lieutenant of Inishmore opened at Lyceum Theatre on 3 May 2006, following previews from 19 Apr 2006 and is currently booking to 29 Oct 2006. Prior to Broadway, the comedy played a sold-out limited run at the Atlantic Theater Company from 8 Feb � 9 Apr 2006.

The show opened to excellent notices, The New York Times called it �The funniest show in town, and a guaranteed adrenaline booster. See it." The Wall Street Journal wrote "Play going doesn't get any better than this." The Daily News said "If Monty Python had ever tackled the issue of Irish terrorism, they might have created something as wild, as brilliant and as weirdly exhilarating as this.� The Associated Press printed "Fans of Tarantino will feel right at home. Blisteringly funny."

The Lieutenant of Inishmore: Set in 1993 in County Galway on the rocky island of Inishmore, off the coast of Ireland. Padraic is a terrorist with no feeling for those he kills, yet has an obsessive attachment to Thomas, his beloved cat. But someone has murdered poor wee Thomas. Was it an accident or an execution? Either way, the death must be concealed before 'Mad Padraic' returns from a stint of torture and bombing. Otherwise the recriminations will be horrifying.

The play, directed by Wilson Milam, also features Kerry Condon (Mairead), Andrew Connolly (Christy), Dashiell Eaves (Joey), Peter Gerety (Donny), Brian d�Arcy James (Brendan).
