The Heidi Chronicles confirms Broadway dates & theatre

Producers have now revealed that the Broadway-bound first revival production of Wendy Wasserstein's Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning comedy The Heidi Chronicles, directed by Tony winner Pam MacKinnon, will begin previews on the Great White Way at the Music Box Theatre on 23 February 2015, before an official opening on 19 March 2015.

The Heidi Chronicles centers around "the coming of age of Heidi Holland as she tries to find her bearings in a rapidly changing world."

The cast of The Heidi Chronicles will include Golden Globe winner and star of 'Mad Men' Elisabeth Moss as Heidi Holland, along with Emmy nominee Jason Biggs and Tony nominee Bryce Pinkham. Tracee Chimo will also be featured and further casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Heidi Chronicles was first produced Off-Broadway by Playwrights Horizons in late 1988 and quickly transferred to Broadway, opening at the Plymouth Theatre in March 1989, where it ran until September 1990. It proved to be a great success, winning the 1989 Tony Award for Best Play, as well as the Pulitzer Prize, New York Drama Critics Circle Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, and the Drama Desk Award that season.

The production will feature scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Jessica Pabst and will be produced on Broadway by Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, Susan Gallin, Mary Lu Roffe, Sally Horchow, Rebecca Gold, Wally Hays, Jam Theatricals, Gabrielle Palitz, Jessica Genick, and Will Trice.

Elisabeth Moss was last seen on Broadway in the 2008 revival of David Mamet's 'Speed-The-Plow'. She made her West End debut as Martha Dobie in Lillian Hellman's 'The Children's Hour' in 2011. She is perhaps best known for her role as Peggy Olson in long-running TV series 'Mad Men'. Other notable credits include 'On The Road' (2012), 'Get Him to the Greek' (2010), and 'Girl, Interrupted' (1999).

Jason Biggs made his Broadway debut in 1992 in 'Conversations with My Father'. He also played the role of Benjamin Braddock in 2002's 'The Graduate' and appeared in 'The Play What I Wrote' in 2003. Mr Biggs is of course best known for his role as Jim Levenstein in the 'American Pie' franchise. He is also the voice of Leonardo in the new TV series of 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' and plays Larry Bloom in Netflix's hit series 'Orange is the New Black'.

Bryce Pinkham was nominated for the 2014 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his role as Monty Navarro in 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder'. He also starred on Broadway as Carl Bruner in 'Ghost the Musical' in 2012 and made his Broadway debut in 'Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson' in 2010.
