The Colored Museum at Hudson Guild Theatre


Arch Productions presents The Colored Museum, by George C. Wolfe, at the Hudson Guild Theatre from 10 - 20 Jan 2008.

The Colored Museum: Through a series of humorous to poignant vignettes, Wolfe's satires on the contradictions of being black and living in America. He parodies the occupation with image, hair, class, culture and fame but in an entertaining fashion, along with offering his own prescription for self-love. In this extraordinary 'museum', eleven exhibits 'pop to life' to portray the moving voices and stories of the African American experience.

Directed by Jason Summers, The Colored Museum features James Becton, Suzanne Harvin, Be Rivers, Mariana Marie and Erica Young.
