The Civilians' The Great Immensity: Full Cast announced
The Public Theater has announced full casting for The Civilians' The Great Immensity, written and directed by Steven Cosson, with Songs by Michael Friedman. The production will run from 11 Apr - 01 May at the Martinson Theater, with an official opening set for 24 Apr 2014.
The cast will feature Damian Baldet (Harold, Pete); Cindy Cheung (Allie, Emmanuelle); Dan Domingues (Bonifacio, Marcos, Charlie); Rebecca Hart (Phyllis); Trey Lyford (Rob, Ship Spotter, Pete); Chris Sullivan (Karl); and Erin Wilhelmi (Julie).
Synopsis: The Civilians' The Great Immensity is a continent-hopping thriller following a woman, Phyllis, as she pursues her husband Karl who disappeared from a tropical island while on an assignment for a nature show. Through her search, Phyllis uncovers a mysterious plot surrounding the upcoming international climate summit in Paris. As the days count down to the summit, Phyllis must decipher the plan and possibly stop it in time.
The Great Immensity will feature scenic design by Mimi Lien, costume design by Sarah Beers, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, sound design by Alex Hawthorn and Ken Travis, Choreography by Tracy Bersley and projection design by Jason H. Thompson.
Bios:
Damien Baldet (Harold, Peter) has appeared on Broadway in Machinal and The Lion King. He has also appeared Off-Broadway in The Civilians'' production of Gone Missing, which he also co-wrote.
Cindy Cheung (Allie, Emmanuelle) has appeared Off-Broadway in Sides: The Fear is Real and Middletown.
Dan Domingues (Bonifacio, Marcos, Charlie) has appeared Off-Broadway in The Jammer, The Cherry Orchard, Night Sky, His Greatness, King Lear and Cymbeline.
Rebecca Hart (Phyllis) was a member of The Public Theater Shakespeare Lab and is making her Off-Broadway debut.
Trey Lyford (Rob, Ship Spotter, Pete) co-wrote and appeared in The Civilians' production of Gone Missing.
Chris Sullivan (Karl) has appeared on Broadway in Nice Work If You Can Get It, Lombardi, and Chicago.
Erin Wilhelmi (Julie) has appeared Off-Broadway in The Great God Pan at Playwrights Horizons.
