(UPDATE: show will not now open on Broadway) Film and television star Neve Campbell (Anna), makes her Broadway debut opposite Tony-nominated actor Michael Hayden (Henry) in the New York premiere of Allan Knee's play Syncopation which opens 24 Oct 2004 at the Longacre Theatre, following previews from 2 Oct 2004. (UPDATE: show will not now open on Broadway) Syncopation is produced by Vaud E. Massarsky, directed by John Tillinger, set by John Lee Beatty, costumes by Catherine Zuber with lighting by Brian Macdevitt and sound by John Gromada Allan Knee's Syncopation is a touching comic drama about the unlikely romance between an impassioned meat packer and a soul-searching seamstress in turn of the century Manhattan who find purpose and love in a lower east side make-shift dance studio. The rhythm of their courtship is as offbeat as the rhythm of their dance, but as the characters change and grow, their relationship shifts not unlike the syncopated beats of the ragtime music that accompanies them. Syncopation won the American Theater Critics Award after premiering at the Long Wharf Theater in 1999 followed by a production at The George Street Playhouse. Tickets not yet available
