'Sweet Charity' : Mylinda Hull assumes the role of Nickie
Mylinda Hull will assume the role of Nickie in Sweet Charity from the 1 Nov 2005 at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
Sweet Charity opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on the 4 May 2005, following previews from the 11 Apr and is currently booking to the 31 Dec 2005.
Ms. Hull originated the role of Anytime Annie in the 2001 Tony Award-winning revival of 42nd Street. Most recently she created the role of Rhoda in the 2004 premiere of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, directed by Walter Bobbie at the Curran Theater in San Francisco. Off-Broadway she co-starred in I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and in the culinary curiosity Chef's Theater. Mylinda also appeared as Lola opposite Jerry Lewis in the national tour of Damn Yankees, as well as Tess in the PBS Great Performances broadcast of Crazy for You taped at the Papermill Playhouse.
Sweet Charity, starring Christina Applegate as Charity and Denis O'Hare as Oscar, performs at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The show is directed by Walter Bobbie (Chicago) and choreographed by Wayne Cilento (The Who's Tommy, Wicked).
Denis O'Hare received the Drama Desk Award for Featured Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of 'Oscar Linquist.'
With book by Neil Simon, music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Dorothy Fields, and based on an original screenplay by Federico Fellini, Tullio Pinelli and Ennio Flaiano, Sweet Charity tells the story of a hostess girl who works at the Fan-Dango Ballroom and is unlucky in love. However, just as she has about given up on men, she falls in love with Oscar, a man she meets while trapped in a lift. Has Charity finally found the man of her dreams or will she be disappointed again?
Sweet Charity also currently stars Wayne Knight as Herman, Kyra Da Costa as Helene and Paul Schoeffler as Vittorio.
