Following the news that Tony Award nominee Denis Arndt was brought in to replace Emmy Award winner Tom Skerritt in the cast of the Broadway premiere of Young Jean Lee's Straight White Men, Second Stage Theater has now postponed the first preview performance. Originally scheduled to begin tonight at the Hayes Theater, the first preview will now take place tomorrow evening, June 30, 2018 at 8pm. The official opening remains set for July 23, with the limited engagement running through to September 9, 2018.

Synopsis: "It's Christmas Eve, and Ed has gathered his three adult sons to celebrate with matching pajamas, trash-talking, and Chinese takeout. But when a question they can't answer interrupts their holiday cheer, they are forced to confront their own identities. Straight White Men takes a hilariously ruthless look at the classic American father-son drama. This is one white Christmas like you've never seen before."

Directed by Anna D. Shapiro, the cast of Straight White Men includes Golden Globe nominee Armie Hammer (as Drew), Golden Globe and two-time Emmy Award nominee Josh Charles (as Jake), Tony Award nominee Denis Arndt (as Ed), Paul Schneider (as Matt), Kate Bornstein (as Person In Charge #1), and Ty Defoe (as Person In Charge #2). With the exception of Mr. Arndt, the production marks the Broadway debuts for all the performers.

The creative team features scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Suttirat Larlab, lighting design by Donald Holder, sound design by M.L. Dogg, and choreography by Faye

Young Jean Lee makes history with the Second Stage Theater production of Straight White Men as the first female Asian-American playwright to ever be produced on Broadway.
