Tony Award nominee Denis Arndt has joined the cast of Second Stage Theater's upcoming Broadway premiere production of Young Jean Lee's Straight White Men, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, which will begin previews at the Hayes Theater this Friday, June 29, 2018, ahead of an official opening on July 23 and a limited engagement through to September 9, 2018. Mr. Arndt replaces Emmy Award winner Tom Skerritt, who has withdrawn from the production due to personal reasons.

Mr. Arndt made his Broadway debut in a critically acclaimed and Tony-nominated performance opposite Mary-Louise Parker in Manhattan Theatre Club's Heisenberg in September 2016. His off-Broadway credits include The Ballad of Soapy Smith and Richard III.

The cast of Straight White Men also includes Golden Globe nominee Armie Hammer (as Drew), Golden Globe and two-time Emmy Award nominee Josh Charles (as Jake), Paul Schneider (as Matt), Kate Bornstein (as Person In Charge #1), and Ty Defoe (as Person In Charge #2), who will all be making their Broadway debuts.

Synopsis: "It's Christmas Eve, and Ed has gathered his three adult sons to celebrate with matching pajamas, trash-talking, and Chinese takeout. But when a question they can't answer interrupts their holiday cheer, they are forced to confront their own identities. Straight White Men takes a hilariously ruthless look at the classic American father-son drama. This is one white Christmas like you've never seen before."

The creative team features scenic design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Suttirat Larlab, lighting design by Donald Holder, sound design by M.L. Dogg, and choreography by Faye
Driscoll.

Young Jean Lee will make history as the first female Asian-American playwright to ever be produced on Broadway.

Straight White Men Tickets are available now for performances from June 29 through to September 9, 2018.
