stop.reset. by ReGina Taylor, announces cast

Signature Theatre have announced the cast for their world premiere production of stop.reset., written and directed by ReGina Taylor, opening at the Signature Center's Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre on 08 Sep 2013, following previews from 20 Aug 2013, and running through to 29 Sep 2013.

The cast will feature Michi Barall (Signature's 'Queens Boulevard,' 'An Oresteia'), Teagle Bougere ('Wings,' B'way: 'A Raisin in the Sun'), Ismael Cruz Cordova ("The Good Wife "), LaTanya Richardson Jackson (B'way: 'Joe Turner's Come and Gone'), Carl Lumbly ('Jitney,' "Alias") and Donald Sage MacKay ("Scrubs").

stop.reset. : As e-books outsell printed books, Alex Ames (Carl Lumbly), the owner of Chicago's oldest African American book publishing company, must question each of his employees to determine who is still relevant in a rapidly changing world. When he meets J (Ismael Cruz Cordova), a mysterious youth plugged into the future, Mr. Ames is forced to discover just how far he will go to survive.

A new play from Residency Five playwright ReGina Taylor, stop.reset. asks questions of legacy, identity and survival in a world where the real and the virtual are more closely tied than we think.

The design team includes Neil Patel (Scenic Design), Karen Perry (Costume Design), Karen Perry (Lighting Design) and Robert Kaplowitz (Sound Design).
