Sprang Thang at the Players Theatre

The Amas Musical Theatre Academy present the musical comedy Sprang Thang, book, music and lyrics by Goldee Greene, at the Players Theatre from 11 - 20 May 2007.

Sprang Thang: It's Spring 1969. As punishment for cutting gym, nerdy sophomore Apricot Taylor has to direct four of the toughest girls at Northampton High in the gi-normous school talent show. Against all odds, the girls bond with the characters they play in Apricot's wild historical revue: Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington.

Directed by Christopher Scott and choreographed by Monica Johnson, Sprang Thang will be performed by students of the Amas Musical Theatre Academy.
