Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell will play last performance 26 Jun 2007
Naked Angels production of Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell, created by Kathleen Russo (Spalding's Widow) from a selection of Spalding Gray's published and unpublished writings and directed by Lucy Sexton, will play its final performance at the Minetta Lane Theatre on 26 Jun 2007.
The play opened at Minette Lane on 6 Mar 2007, and had originally been booking through to 29 Jul 2007.
Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell celebrates the life and writing of Spalding Gray timed to coincide with what would have been his 65th birthday
When Spalding Gray succumbed to depression and took his life in the winter of 2004, he left behind a loving family, a legion of devoted fans and an enormous body of work. Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell charts a uniquely personal journey through Spalding�s inimitable perspective and voice, featuring excerpts from his hilarious monologues juxtaposed with journal entries and poems.
The play features a guest celebrity at each performance, the celebrity for the show's final performance will be Elaine Stritch. Stritch will play 'Career' and join cast members Kathleen Chalfant, Hazelle Goodman, Frank Wood and Roger Howarth. Howarth, recently replaced original cast member Ain Gordon.
