Something You Did: Tony Award winner Joanna Gleason to star, Jordon Charney also cast
Tony-Award winning actress Joanna Gleason (Into the Woods) has been cast as Alison, a sixties radical in Primary Stages' New York premiere of Something You Did by Willy Holtzman, opening at 59E59's Theater A on 1 Apr 2008, following previews from 18 Mar and running through to 26 Apr 2008.
Gleason will be joined by Jordon Charney (Hearts) who will play Arthur, her lawyer in the play. The full cast is to be announced in the coming weeks.
Something You Did: A tale of three lives colliding in rural Ireland. The play unfolds with the story of a homely, tomboyish pump girl at a rundown gas station. When a local racetrack star becomes the focus of her obsession, the affair threatens more than the feelings of his disenchanted wife.
Something You Did will be directed by Carolyn Cantor, whose work is currently represented off-Broadway by the Atlantic Theater Company's production of Pumpgirl.
Something You Did is the fourth, and final, production of the current Primary Stages 23rd season of new works by American playwrights.
The third production of the current season, Hunting and Gathering by Brooke Berman, begins performances on 22 Jan 2008 for a limited run through to 1 Mar 2008 at Primary Stages at 59E59 Theaters.
