Signature Theatre reveals Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train cast

Signature Theatre has now announced complete casting for the upcoming revival of Stephen Adly Guirgis' Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train, which begins previews at the Irene Diamond Stage at off-Broadway's Pershing Square Signature Center on October 3, 2017, before an official opening on October 23 and a limited engagement through to November 12, 2017.

The cast of Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train includes (in alphabetical oder) Erick Betancourt, Emmy Award winner and "House of Cards" star Reg E. Cathey, SAG Award winner and "Desperate Housewives" star Ricardo Chavira, Stephanie DiMaggio and Victor Rasuk.

Synopsis: "Angel Cruz is a 30-year-old bicycle messenger awaiting trial for the death of the leader of a religious cult. Inside Rikers Island, a terrified Angel is befriended by a charismatic serial killer named Lucius Jenkins. Lucius has found God and been born again, and now, Angel's life and the course of his trial will be changed forever. Jesus Hopped The 'A' Train is a darkly comic meditation on redemption and faith."

Mark Brokaw replaces previously announced Ruben Santiago-Hudson as director in the creative team that also includes scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Dede M. Ayite, lighting design by Scott Zielinski, and sound design by M.L. Dogg.
