Signature Theatre has now announced a second 1-week extension for the upcoming world premiere of Annie Baker's The Antipodes, directed by Lila Neugebauer, which will begin previews on April 4, 2017, before an official opening on April 23 and a limited engagement now playing through to May 28, 2017, at The Pershing Square Signature Center's Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre. It was originally scheduled to close on May 14, 2017.

Little has been revealed in terms of the play's synopsis, except that it is "a play about people telling stories about telling stories."

The cast of The Antipodes includes (in alphabetical order) Phillip James Brannon, Josh Charles, Josh Hamilton, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Danny McCarthy, Emily Cass McDonnell, Brian Miskell, Will Patton and Nicole Rodenburg.

The creative team behind The Antipodes has also been announced and features scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Bray Poor.

The Antipodes marks Pulitzer Prize-winner Annie Baker's second production of her Signature Theatre residency.
