Second Stage Theatre make schedule changes to their 2006 - 2007 season
Second Stage Theatre has announced a change in schedule for its 2006-07 season.
Theresa Rebeck�s The Scene, which had been announced to begin performances on 6 Feb 2007, will now begin performances on 12 Dec 2007, officially opening on Thursday, 11 Jan 2006. The production will be directed by Rebecca Taichman.
Terrence McNally�s Some Men, which had been announced as starting performances on 21 Nov 2006, will now begin performances on 23 Feb 2007 and will open in mid-March 2007. The proeduction will be directed by Trip Cullman. A fourth spring production is still to be announced.
The season will open with Eric Bogosian�s subUrbia which opens at Second Stage Theatre on 28 Sep 2006, following previews from 8 Sep and running through to 29 Oct 2006.
subUrbia: Take a trip to the hang-out of twenty-somethings gathered in the parking lot of a convenience store run by two Pakistanis. It�s an all-night whirlwind of drinking, sex and violence and a clear-eyed, tragic look at nine young American lives.
Directed by Jo Bonney, subUrbia features Diksha Basu, Jessica Capshaw, Kieran Culkin, Michael Esper, Halley Feiffer, Kelli Garner, Daniel Eric Gold, Manu Narayan, and Peter Scanavino.
Set design is by Richard Hoover, with costumes by Mimi O�Donnell, lighting by David Weiner and sound by Rob Kaplowitz
The second play of Second Stage Theatre�s 06-07 season is The Scene, a dark comedy by Theresa Rebeck and directed by Rebecca Taichman, opening at Second Stage Theatre on 11 Jan 2007, following previews from 12 Dec 2006 and running through to 4 Feb 2007.
The Scene: Clea�s ready to make it. Charlie�s trying to retake it. Lewis wants to change it. And Stella is simply over it. It�s the New York entertainment 'scene' in all its boozing, schmoozing, and using glory.

The third play of Second Stage Theatre�s 06-07 season is Some Men, by Terrence McNally and directed by Trip Cullma, will play at Second Stage Theatre from 23 Feb - 15 Aor 2007.

Second Stage Theatre�s production of William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin�s musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is currently running at Broadway�s Circle in the Square Theatre. Its production of Douglas Carter Beane�s comedy The Little Dog Laughed will transfer to Broadway this fall.
