Second Stage Theatre announces The Way We Get By cast

Second Stage Theatre has announced casting for its upcoming production of Neil LaBute's The Way We Get By, which begins previews on 12 May 2015 at the Tony Kiser Theatre, and continues its limited engagement to 28 June 2015.

The cast includes Tatiana Maslany, who will be making her New York stage debut in the play, as Beth, and Thomas Sadoski, as Doug. A director for the production has also been announced - Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman.

The creative team behind The Way We Get By features Neil Patel for set design, Matthew Frey for lighting and Jill BC Du Boff for sound.

Synopsis: "Meet Beth and Doug: two people who have no problems getting dates with their partners of choice. What they do have, however, is a very awkward encounter after spending one hot night together following a drunken wedding reception they attend. They wake up to a blurry morning where the rules of attraction, sex and society are waiting for them before their first cup of coffee, which leads them to ponder how much they really know about each other and how much they really care about what other people think."

Tatiana Maslany is perhaps best known for her role in BBC America's 'Orphan Black' and she is currently filming the show's third season. Film credits include 'Picture Day', 'Grown Up Movie Star', 'The Vow', 'Violet and Daisy' and 'Blood Pressure'.

The Way We Get By will mark Thomas Sadoski's sixth collaboration with Second Stage Theatre, following 'Becky Shaw', 'Reckless', 'Gemini', 'All This Intimacy' and 'This Is Our Youth'. On television, Sadoski stars in HBO's 'The Newsroom', which is due to broadcast its final season in November.
