Roundabout presents John Lithgow: Stories by Heart
The Roundabout Theatre Company, in association with Staci Levine, presents John Lithgow: Stories by Heart, adapted and performed by Emmy and Tony Award winner John Lithgow and directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan. Previews will begin at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre on December 21, 2017, before an official opening on January 11, and a limited engagement through to March 4, 2018.
Synopsis: "Virtuosity and imagination combine in one utterly unique event, as Tony and Emmy Award winner John Lithgow creates a singularly intimate evening. With equal measures of humor and heart, he evokes memories of family, explores and expands the limits of the actor's craft, and masterfully conjures a cast of indelible characters from classic short stories by Ring Lardner and P. G. Wodehouse."
The creative team behind John Lithgow: Stories by Heart features scenic design by John Lee Beatty and lighting design by Kenneth Posner.
Stories by Heart began its evolution at Lincoln Center Theater in 2008, during a series of special repertory presentations, directed by Jack O'Brien, where Mr. Lithgow would regale the audience with a different story each night. The play has subsequently evolved and been presented at theatres around the country, produced by Staci Levine. The Broadway premiere of John Lithgow: Stories by Heart is the culmination of this theatrical project.

He also received Tony nominations for 'The Columnist' (2012), 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' (2005), 'M. Butterfly' (1988), and 'Requiem for a Heavyweight' (1985).
