Romeo and Juliet at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre



Theater Breaking Through Barriers (formerly Theater by the Blind) presents Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, opening at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre on 16 Mar 2008, following previews from 5 Mar and running through to 6 Apr 2008.

Romeo and Juliet: The story takes place on NYC's Upper East Side; the Capulets are nouveau riche, the Montagues, old money. Romeo, only son of the Montagues, meets and falls instantly in love with Juliet, the Capulets' only daughter, and she with him. But family enmity leads to fateful consequences.

Directed by Ike Schambelan, Romeo and Juliet features George Ashiotis, Gregg Mozgala, Nicholas Viselli and Emily Young.

The creative team comprises Bert Scott (sets and lighting) and Chloe Chapin (costumes).
