Red Dog Howls: NYTW announces complete cast



New York Theatre Workshop have announced the complete cast for their production of Red Dog Howls, written by Alexander Dinelaris and directed by Ken Rus Schmoll, opening at the New York Theatre Workshop on 24 Sep 2012, following previews from 5 Sep 2012, and closing on 14 Oct 2012.

Joining the previously announced Kathleen Chalfant will be Alfred Narciso and Florencia Lozano.

Red Dog Howls: A box of old letters and a father's dying wish lead Michael Kiriakos to dig up the buried secrets of his family history. After a series of mysterious encounters with Rose, a captivating elderly Armenian woman, Michael eventually uncovers a past he never knew existed—one of exile, sacrifice and ultimately redemption.

The creative tem features sets by Marsha Ginsberg, costumes by David C. Woolard, lighting by Tyler Micoleau and sound by Jane Shaw.

Bios:

Kathleen Chalfant was nominated for a Tony Award for 'Angels in America: Approaches,' and has appeared on Broadway in 'Racing Demon' and 'Angels in America: Perestroika.' Chalfant's many Off-Broadway credits include her role as 'Vivian Bearing Ph.D ' in 'Wit' for which she won both a Lucille Lortel and Obie Award. TV credits include: "Rescue Me," "Law & Order," "The Guardian" and "Prince Street." Film credits include: "Isn't It Delicious," "The Last New Yorker", "Georgia O'Keeffe," "Perfect Stranger" and "First Born."

Alfred Narciso has appeared on Broadway in 'A Streetcar Named Desire' (2005). Off-Broadway credits: 'Measure for Measure,' 'Chair,' 'The Drunken City,' 'The Misanthrope' and 'Good Thing.' TV includes: "Blue Bloods," "Unforgettable" and "Person of Interest." Film: "Elliot Loves," "Tied to a Chair" and "The Guys."

Florencia Lozano has appeared Off-Broadway in 'Macbeth,' 'Privilege,' 'Last Easter,' 'Right You Are' and 'Where's My Money?' TV: "One Life to Live." Film: "7E," "The Ministers" and "Perfect Stranger."

Alexander Dinelaris (Playwright) is currently working in the West End on the stage adaptation of 'The Bodyguard.' His off-Broadway credits include 'Still Life' (MCC), 'The Chaos Theories' (Shotgun Theatre), 'In This, Our Time,' 'Big Kids' and 'Zanna Don't!' Dinelaris has worked on 'Folding the Monster' (staged readings with Rosie O'Donnell and Danny Aiello). Most recently, he worked with director Alejandro Gonzales-Innaritu ("Babel," "21 Grams") on his newest film "Biutiful."

Ken Rus Schmoll's recent direction credits include Off-Broadway productions of 'Middletown' 'What Once We Felt' and 'The Internationalist.'
