Rattlestick Playwrights 2006 - 2007 season


Rattlestick Playwrights Theater will present 3 plays for the companies 12th season.

The three shows are It Goes Without Saying by Bill Bowers, Dark Matters by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Stay by Lucy Thurber.



It Goes Without Saying

is a one-man comedy show written and performed by Bill Bowers, opens at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre on 7 Sep 2006, following previews from 8 Aug and running through to 8 Oct 2006.

Actor and mime Bill Bowers shares funny, heart-breaking, and unbelievable true stories from both his career and his lifelong exploration of the role silence plays in all our lives.



Drak Matters

a comedy by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, opening at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre on 16 Nov 2006, following previews from 8 Nov and running through to 17 Dec 2006.

In a house at the end of a cornfield, something almost beyond belief is happening to the Cleary family. A woman disappears, then returns talking of otherworldly beings. Is she lying? Or are even darker forces at work, threatening to destroy a family already on the brink of falling apart?



Stay

by Lucy Thurber, opening at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre on 15 Mar 2007, following previews from 7 Mar and running through to 15 Apr 2007.

The story of a young writer who, in the darkest moments of her youth, discovered an angel. Having achieved great success, she must learn to let go of this beautiful gift, all the while struggling to define and accept herself in the absence of this muse and savior.
