'Rabbit Hole' - John Gallagher Jr joins cast

Manhattan Theatre Club have announced that John Gallagher Jr will join Tyne Daly, Cynthia Nixon, and John Slattery in the theatre company's world premiere production of Rabbit Hole, written by David Lindsay-Abaire, and directed by Tony Award-winner Daniel Sullivan, opening at the Biltmore Theatre on the 2 Feb 2006, following previews from the 12 Jan 2006.

Becca (Cynthia Nixon) and Howie Corbett (John Slattery) have everything a family could want, until the day their world is turned upside down. In the aftermath of a life-shattering accident, the couple finds itself drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole charts their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back up into the light of day. Tyne Daly will play the role of Nat, Beccas mother.

John Gallagher Jr previously appeared in David Lindsay-Abaires Kimberly Akimbo both at MTC and at South Coast Repertory Theatre. He was nominated for a LA Drama Critics Circle Award for his performance in the show. John made his off-Broadway debut at the age of 15 in Current Events, at MTC.

Rabbit Hole will mark the Broadway debut of playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, who has been represented at MTC with productions of 'Fuddy Meers', 'Wonder of the World' and 'Kimberly Akimbo'.
