Psycho Therapy sets new opening date

The world premiere production of Frank Strausser's comedy Psycho Therapy, which has been in previews since 17 Jan 2012, has cancelled its preview performances for the 26 - 29 Jan 2012. The cancellation will allow the creative team and cast more time to work on the production.

The show's opening night, which was scheduled for the 1 Feb 2012, will now take place on 7 Feb 2012. The production will still play through to 25 Feb 2012, as originally announced.

Directed by Alex Lippard, the cast will feature Angelica Page, Jan Leslie Harding, Laurence Lau and Jeffrey Carlson.

Psycho Therapy: Lily's fiancée Phillip blows off couples therapy and Dorian, her hot young ex-boyfriend, jumps in to fill the void. When the trio ends up on the couch together, only therapist Nancy Winston can untangle the kinks.

The creative team features sets by Michael V. Moore, lighting by Jeff Croiter, costumes by Amanda Bujak and sound by Amy Altadonna.

The show is being produced Off-Broadway by Barbara Ligeti and Wishing Well Productions, in special arrangement with The Cherry Lane Theatre.
