Primary Stages announces 2014/2015 season

Primary Stages has announced its upcoming 30th season of new works: the world premiere of Billy Porter's While I Yet Live, directed by Sheryl Kaller; the New York premiere of Theresa Rebeck's Poor Behaviour, directed by Sheryl Kaller; and Lives of the Saints, a collection of short stories (containing a mixture of world and New York premieres) by David Ives, directed by John Rando.

Unlike their previous seasons which have been staged at 59E59 Theater A, this new season will see Primary Stages take up residence at The Duke on 42nd Street.

Primary Stages Founder and Executive Producer, Casey Childs said about the change of venue,

We look forward to working with our colleagues at The Duke on 42nd Street, which offers us a terrific space for our artists and our audiences. We have been the resident theater company at 59E59 Theaters since they opened in 2004, but over the course of the last decade the audiences and the seasons have grown tremendously for both Primary Stages and 59E59 Theaters, increasing both organizations' needs for access to the main stage.

Opening the 2014-2015 season is the New York premiere of Theresa Rebeck's new comedy Poor Behaviour, directed by Evan Cabnet.

Theresa Rebeck presents a devilish argument about infidelity and America in this new comedy about two couples spending a not-so-idyllic weekend in the country.

Primary Stages continues the season with the world premiere of Billy Porter's While I Yet Live, directed by Sheryl Kaller.
