Potomac Theatre Project�s 2008 summer repertoire at Atlantic Theater's Stage 2


The Potomac Theatre Project (PTP) presents its 22nd repertory season (and its second consecutive in NY) that includes Howard Barker�s Scenes From An Execution (featuring Broadway star Jan Maxwell in her 3rd collaboration with PTP), Sarah Kane�s Crave, and the NY Premiere of Neal Bell�s Somewhere in the Pacific, at The Atlantic Theatre's Stage 2 from 1 - 26 Jul 2008.


  • Crave / Somewhere in the Pacific Double Bill

    Synopsis: Exploration of English playwright Sarah Kane�s seared and segmented inner self, with four actors delivering impassioned monologues and engaging in fevered dialogue, never making eye contact.

    Somewhere in the Pacific
    Playwright: Neal Bell
    Director: Jim Petosa
    Cast: MacLeod Andrews, Michael Wrynn Doyle, Adam Ludwig, Malcolm Madera, James Smith, John Stokvis and Alec Strum
    Synopsis: Takes place on a troopship at the end of World War II. The ship�s captain is haunted by the death of his son in battle; the young Marines under his command are terrified and restless as they are stalked by an invisible enemy.

    Synopsis: Galactia, a 15th century Venetian painter, is commissioned by the State of Venice to portray the Battle of Lepanto, a naval battle described as 'the greatest triumph of Venetian history.' However, her 1,000 square feet of canvas contains quite a different interpretation. Thus the battle over truth, freedom and responsibility is engaged.
