'Plunge' at Shelter's 54 Theatre

The Bridge Theatre Company presents the first New York revival of Christopher Kyle's comedy Plunge, Shelter's Theatre 54 from the 23 - 27 Mar 2005.

Plunge provides a candid snapshot of an entire generation as it traces the Labor Day weekend reunion of three friends who are approaching age thirty. Clare, Val and Matty were the best of friends back in college. Now Clare is a wealthy yet insecure corporate VIP and the liberal Val is stuck in an unhappy marriage with the conservative Harris--who, just one week prior to the reunion, was involved in an aborted hotel room tryst with Clare. He drunkenly confides his almost-infidelity to the caustic Matty, who wastes no time in letting Val know the truth about her husband. His decision sets off a chain reaction that has life-altering effects for everyone.

Robin Peterson will direct Plunge, featuring Amos Crawley, Devin Scott, Jennifer Lane Williams, Ellen Dolan and Scott Sheldon.

Christopher Kyle is the author of several plays, most notably 'Plunge' and 'The Monogamist,' both of which premiered at Playwrights Horizons.
