Play: Pains of YouthPlaywrite:Ferdinand BruckneDirector:Charles Wilson and Michael FitzgeraldSynopsis:An exploration of a group of medical students in 1923 Vienna. In a world stripped of its morality & faith, these cynical twenty-somethings reach dangerous extremes as they struggle to find purpose & meaning in their lives. Unsure of the future and still clinging to the simpler days of their youth, they rashly hurl themselves at adulthood by experimenting with complex power struggles, sexual manipulation, drug abuse, and even death.Cast:Sheila Carrasco, Amy Ewing, Kari Floberg, Josh Heine, Donna Lazar, Mick Lauer, and Michael NewmanDate:5 - 21 May (12 performances)Play: The Gospel According to AdamPlaywrite:Adam ParrishDirector:Mick Lauer and Jake ThomasSynopsis:A biblical satire tests the very fiber of the historical events surrounding the Bible. The tales of the Bible live and breathe within all of us. Most of us can effortlessly recognize the brothers Cain and Abel, Noah and his Ark, and the very naked Adam and Eve. Perhaps it is because we live in a predominantly Christian country, or perhaps it is because these Biblical tales have been the inspiration for so many of the stories told today. The Gospel According to Adam is very much about the nature of storiesand their possibly true origins. Challenging us (positively or negatively) to further investigate what we once thought was fact. I mean, seriouslywhat inspires warmth and laughter better than the Bible?Cast:Mike Fitzgerald, Matt Harrington, Trip Langley, Nancy Noto, Aaron Sparks, Joe Stipek, and David SticherDate:6 - 21 May (4 performances)Play: Let's Find CJ!Playwrite:Michael NewmanSynopsis:A one-man show about a boy who thinks he's a superhero and actually becomes one on stage. Yet soon after his transformation the show is rocked by three superbeings who stop at nothing to destroy the boy. The only way to win, and the only way to understand oneselfis to find CJ!Cast:Michael Newman. OAaron Sparks, Rachel Crouthamel, and Liz Parker are the three superbeings).Date:10 - 17 May (2 performances)
