Peter and the Starcatcher now booking to 21 Oct 2012

The Broadway premiere of Rick Elice's (Jersey Boys) new play, Peter and the Starcatcher, based upon the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, is now selling tickets through to 21 Oct 2012.

Peter and the Starcatcher opened at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on 15 Apr 2012, following previews from 28 Mar 2012.

The show opened to mostly excellent reviews: Inventive, touching and mostly hilarious (newyorktheatreguide); Ecstatic production (NY Times); Beaming with dizzy humor and delightful stage magic (NY Daily News); Clever and joyous entertainment (Back Stage); Flies high (NY1).

In Peter and the Starcatcher, directed by Roger Rees and Alex Timbers, a company of twelve actors plays some 50 characters - all on a journey to answer the century-old question: How did Peter become The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up?

The play transferred to Broadway following its earlier Off-Broadway performance in 2011 at New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW), where it played from 9 Mar 2011 - 24 Apr 2011.

The cast, which sees the Off-Broadway company reprise their roles for Broadway, stars Christian Borle in his Tony Award winning performance as 'Black Stache.' He is joined by Adam Chanler-Berat as 'Boy' and Celia Keenan-Bolger as 'Molly,' the titular Starcatcher.

The cast also features Teddy Bergman (Fighting Prawn), Arnie Burton (Mrs. Bumbrake), Matt D'Amico (Slank), Kevin Del Aguila (Smee), Carson Elrod (Prentiss), Greg Hildret (Alf), David Rossmer (Ted), Rick Holmes (Lord Aster) and Isaiah Johnson (Captain Scott).

The creative team feature scenic design by Donyale Werle, costume design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound by Darron L. West.
