Penetrator at the American Place Theatre

Working Mans Clothes Productions presents the British In-Yer-Face Theatre production of Penetrator, by Anthony Neilson, opening at the American Place Theatre on 2 Jun 2007, following previews from 31 May and running through to 23 Jun 2007.

Penetrator: Playstation, pornography and drug-use are the modus-operandi for two struggling urban roommates, Max and Alan, stereotypes of 20-something American bachelors, whose discussions revolve around pop culture, girls and the ongoing war as seen on TV. When their old friend Woody arrives unexpectedly at their doorstep with nowhere to sleep, their world is turned on its head as they learn that Woody has abandoned his duties as a soldier in Iraq. Max and Alans friendship is put to the test as they sort out the bizarre stories of Woodys experiences with violent rape and boyhood nostalgia.

Directed by Jeremy Torres, Penetrator features Jared Culverhouse, Michael Mason and Cole Wimpee.

Set design by Ace Eure, with costumes by PCandace Thompson, lighting by Jake Platt and sound by Adam Smith.
