One Day a new musical by Michael Sottile

Producers Big Block Entertainment/Scott Prisand & Jamie Bendell and Carl Levin have today announced that the new pop-rock musical One Day will run at the 3LD Art & Technology Center off-Broadway from 7 February to 1 March 2015, with an official opening on 19 February 2015.

Based on true journal entries written by teens spanning two decades, the musical follows the journey of eight teenagers as they face ravaging internal struggles and exhilarating triumphs - from drug abuse to sexual awakening - on the passage to discovering their own truths.

The cast for the production includes Brenna Bloom, Chase O'Donnell, Marco Ramos, Honey Ribar, Aaron Scheff, Austin Scott, Benjamin Shuman, Andy Spencer, Aliya Stuart, Nyseli Vega and Charlotte Mary Wen.

The show features score, book and co-direction by Michael Sottile, along with choreography and co-direction by Ray Leeper. It is inspired by Sottile's 1999 cult-hit musical 'Inappropriate', for which he also wrote the music & lyrics, along with the late Lonnie McNeil.

Further creative team for One Day includes lighting design by Jason Lyons, sound design by Drew Levy, scenic design by Ellen Rousseau and costume design by Shane Ballard, with vocal arrangements by AnnMarie Milazzo and music direction by Keith Harrison.

Producers of the show said of the announcement: "We're so thrilled to bring One Day to the New York stage, and hope the piece will enlighten and inspire audiences the way we have been by the process of its creation.".
