Now.Here.This extends run by one week
The world-premiere of Now.Here.This., the newest work from the creators and cast of the Tony nominated musical '[title of show],' currently in previews at the Vineyard Theatre, has extended its run by one week and will now play through to 22 Apr 2012.
Now.Here.This., which had a developmental lab production at The Vineyard Theatre earlier this year, began previews on 7 Mar 2012, where it will open on 28 Mar 2012. The show was originally scheduled to close on 15 Apr 2012.
Now.Here.This. is written by Hunter Bell and Susan Blackwell, with music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen, and is based on a collaboration by Hunter Bell, Michael Berresse, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jeff Bowen and Larry Pressgrove - all of whom previously collaborated on the Tony-nominated musical [title of show], which debuted at The Vineyard in 2006 prior to its run on Broadway two years later.
Performed by Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Jeff Bowen, Now.Here.This. is directed and choreographed by Michael Berresse. Musical direction and arrangements are by Larry Pressgrove, who leads a four-piece band.
Now.Here.This. is an original "theatri-concert" that investigates and celebrates living in the present, featuring autobiographical stories, songs, and a multi-piece band.
According to Hunter, Jeff, Susan, Heidi, Michael and Larry, "the piece explores what goes down in the space between the past and the future, and how the universe conspires to bring people together."
The press notes for the show describe it as exploring "birds, bees, reptiles, early man, ancient civilizations, and outer space. Also, loneliness, friendship, hoarding, hiding, laughing, living and dying. And middle school. And dinosaurs." The creative team features set design by Neil Patel, costumes by Gregory Gale, lighting by Jeff Croiter and sound by Acme Sound Partners.
