No Man's Island at HERE Arts Center
GUTWorks presents the American premiere of No Man's Island, by Australian playwright Ross Mueller, at the HERE Arts Center from 9 - 20 May 2007.
No Man's Island plies the emotive depths of two haplessly damaged souls. The two, locked in the isolation of a cell together, their crimes and sentences unknown, plunge to the core of their confusion, need, and boiling loneliness. Tim and Robbie may have come to prison from desperate parts of the outback, at different times and for separate felonies, but now their lives are indefinitely converging into one as they become striking reflections of each other.
Directed by Kali Quinn, No Man's Island features Daniel Burmester and Jonathan Maloney.
Set design by Joseph Egan, with costumes by Olga Mill, lighting by Vincent Vigilante and sound by Joe Williamson.
Ross Mueller's was a long time affiliate of the Melbourne Theatre Company and a recent representative at the International Residency of the Royal Court Theatre in London. Mueller has updated the script to No Man's Island for the American premiere.
