Night of the Butterfly, children's musical at Bleecker Street

Stella Cartaino and Dan Kitrosser presents Night of the Butterfly, at the Bleecker Street Theatre from 15 Mar - 3 May 2009.

Night of the Butterfly: Though Beetle was born without wings, his head is in the clouds as he yearns to break free from His humdrum world. When his mother tries to force him to marry the obnoxious Sylvia Scarab Beetle (you know, of the North Swamp Scarab Beetles?), Beetle decides he will escape by going on an adventure to find a fallen butterfly. Along with his pals, Pill, a neurotic caterpillar, and Scorpy, a vegetarian scorpion, Beetle makes his way into the forest to find what's out there.

Night of the Butterfly has a book by Zachary Friedman, music & lyrics by Dan Kitrosser and additional material by Evan Greene.

The cast features Sheira Feuerstein, Zachary Friedman, Evan Greene and Dan Kitrosser.
