Never Gonna Dance tells the story of John 'Lucky' Garnett , a professional dancer, who comes to New York in order to prove his worth to his fiancee's father by attempting to earn $25,000 by any means except dancing. Inspired by the energy and rhythms of the city, he of course can't keep still, and goes on to dance his way through hilarious adventures with his fine new romance, the dance teacher, Penny Carroll. It has music by Jerome Kern, Lyrics by Dorothy Fields, Ira Gershwin, Oscar Hammerstein II, Johnny Mercer, Otto Harbach and Jimmy McHugh, Book by Jeffrey Hatcher Directed by Michael Grief, with choreography by Jerry Mitchell, the cast currently includes Noah Racey, Nancy Lemenager, Karen Ziemba, Peter Bartlett, Peter Gerety, David Pittu, Deborah Leamy, Philip LeStrange, Ron Orbach, Eugene Fleming, Deidre Goodwin
