Mud Donahue and Son at 45th Street Theatre

Mud Donahue and Son, book by Jeff Hochhauser, based on Jack Donahue's Letters Of A Hoofer To His Ma, with music by Bob Johnston and lyrics by Johnston & Hochhauser, at 45th Street Theatre from 2 - 7 Oct 2007, as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Mud Donahue and Son: Based on the letters of a spirited young hoofer who runs away from home and his indomitable mother for the glamour of vaudeville! Jack, a passionate kid who would rather dance than breathe, is bursting out of his skin to realize the talent that he knows is inside him. Mud, an equally passionate woman, would rather die than have her son go into something as trivial as Vaudeville.

Directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Mud Donahue and Son features: Karen Murphy and Shonn Wiley Star.
