Michael Moore on Broadway in The Terms of My Surrender
Producers IMG Original Content and Carole Shorenstein Hays present Oscar-winning filmmaker, best-selling author and political motivist Michael Moore, making his Broadway debut in The Terms of My Surrender, directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer, which will begin previews at the Belasco Theatre on July 28, 2017, before an official opening on August 10 and a limited 12-week engagement through to October 22, 2017.
Synopsis: "So, the question is posed: "Can a Broadway show take down a sitting President?"... Well, it's time to find out... In a time like no other in American history, and with a sense of urgency like never-before, Michael Moore comes to Broadway for the first time in an exhilarating, subversive one-man show guaranteed to take audiences on a ride through the United States of Insanity, explaining once and for all how the f*** we got here, and where best to dine before crossing with the Von Trapp family over the Canadian border. Performed live each night just blocks from Trump Tower, The Terms of My Surrender will, like Moore's films, feature the wry, satirical humor of one of America's iconic political observers and all-around-sh*t-disturbers, a fearless Midwesterner not interested in taking any prisoners. Audiences are in for one surprise after another."
Michael Moore received an Academy Award for "Best Documentary" in 2003 for "Bowling for Columbine." He also received an Oscar nomination in 2008 for "Sicko." His other notable credits as a writer, director and producer include his Emmy Award-winning work on "TV Nation," his Emmy-nominated work on "The Awful Truth," "Michael Moore in TrumpLand," "Where to Invade Next," "Capitalism: A Love Story," "Slacker Uprising," "Fahrenheit 9/11," "The Big One," "Canadian Bacon," and "Roger & Me."
