MCC's The Village Bike Extends to 13 July 2014
The MCC Theater's production of Penelope Skinner's The Village Bike at the Lucille Lortel Theatre has extended its run to 13 July 2014. The production originally opened on 10 June, following previews from 22 May 2014. It was originally booking until 28 June 2014.
The cast for The Village Bike features indie film star Greta Gerwig, Max Baker, Jason Butler Harner, Lucy Owen, Cara Seymour and Scott Shepherd.
The Village Bike follows Becky who is pregnant and friskier than ever. Whilst she can't seem to get the attention of her husband, who is preoccupied with preparing for the baby's months-away arrival, she takes matters into her own hands and sets out on an adventure that starts with the purchase of a used bike from a man in town and takes her further than she ever expected she'd go.
The production is directed by Sam Gold and is produced by the Manhattan Class Company, whose mission is driven to provoke conversations that have never happened and otherwise never would. The extra performances have been added to the schedule due to increased demand from audiences.
