MCC Theater will present Caroline, a world-premiere play by Preston Max Allen, as the first production in its 2025-26 Off-Broadway season. Performances run from September 12 to October 19, with opening night on September 30.

Directed by Tony Award winner David Cromer (The Band's Visit, Dead Outlaw, Good Night, and Good Luck), Caroline is a play following three generations of mothers and daughters. When Maddie is forced to turn to her estranged mother for help, she can no longer shield her daughter, Caroline, from the circumstances that broke their family apart.

Cast and additional creative team members have yet to be announced. MCC Theater will also announce two additional productions for its 2025-26 season at a later date.
