Maudie and Jane extends its run at the Living Theatre


The Living Theatre extends its run of Maudie and Jane, by Luciano Nattino, based on Doris Lessing's novel, 'The Diary of Jane Somers', by five weeks, and will now play through to 9 Mar 2008.

The play opened at the Living Theatre on 7 Dec 2007, following previews from 30 Nov, and was originally scheduled to close on 3 Feb 2008.

Maudie and Jane: An encounter between two women of different ages and differernt classes, an elderly, poor woman living in squalor, and a middle-aged fashion editor near the top of her career - they bridge a series of cultural-historical gaps and develop a deep love for one another.

Directed by Hanon Reznikov Maudie and Jane features Judith Malina and Pat Russell.
