Magpie extends run through to 1 Apr 2007


Amas Musical Theatre's production of Magpie, a new Latin-flavored urban musical by Gary William Friedman, Edward Gallardo and Steven M. Jacobson, extends its run one week, and will now play through to 1 Apr 2007.

Magpie opened at the Players Theatre on 9 Mar 2007 and was originaly schedule to close on 25 Mar 2007.

Magpie: Tino and Maggie are teenage lovers in the fast-paced world of New York City's bike messengers. They have the same problems as a lot of young people. And more. Love, family pressures, ethnic differences and jobs are much harder when you also have to manage your meds.

Directed & choreographed by Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj, Magpie features Ronny Mercedes (Tino), Jessica Fields (Maggie), J. Cameron Barnett, Kimberly Reid Dunbar, Jene Hernandez, Dennis Holland, Gary Lindemann, Joseph Melendez, Michael Murnoch, Julian Rebolledo and Natalie Toro.

Set design by John Pollard, with costumes by Leslie Bernstein, lighting by Japhy Weidman and sound by Danny Erdberg.
