Losing Louie announces full cast

The Manhattan Theatre Club have announced that Ana Reeder (Bobbie) and Jama Williamson (Bella) join the previously announced cast: Matthew Arkin (Reggie), Scott Cohen (Louie), Mark Linn-Baker (Tony), Patricia Kalember (Elizabeth), Michele Pawk (Sheila), in the American premiere of Simon Mendes Da Costa's comedy Losing Louie.

Mark Linn-Baker replaces the previously announced Adam Arkin and Patricia Kalember replaces the previously mentioned Jan Maxwell who left the production due to a scheduling conflict.

Directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, Losing Louie opens at the Biltmore Theatre on 12 Oct 2006, following previews from 21 Sep 2006.

Losing Louie is a comedy about how our childhood memories affect our lives? How do the mistakes of one generation impact the next? And most importantly, why does love make us do such crazy things? Interwoven events from the past and present blend together, as two generations of family members work things out in the same bedroom, fifty years apart.

Set design is by John Lee Beatty, with lighting by Paul Gallo, Costumes by William Ivey Long and sound by Dan Moses Schreier.

The comedy had its world premiere under the title "Losing Louis", at the London fringe venue, Hampstead Theatre, were it had a sold out run. The comedy then transferred to London's West End where it played at the Whitehall Theatre from 23 Feb 2005 to 25 Jun 2005.
