Livestream production of ‘Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens’ coming in December
The production is set to stream on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1, 2020.

An online revival of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens will take place via livestream on World Aids Day — Dec. 1, 2020. The star-studded production is made up of over 50 cast members, with monies raised going towards Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
First performed in 1989, Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens is a compilation of monologues, with each performer taking on the role of a character who has died from aid. Bill Russell wrote the book and lyrics, with music by Janet Hood.
The stream will include a host of talent from stage and screen, including Nathan Lane and Cynthia Nixon. Notable performers taking part include Laura Bell Bundy, Robin de Jesús, Lena Hall, Norm Lewis,, Kevin McHale, Jessie Mueller, Anthony Rapp, Krysta Rodriguez and Seth Rudetsky.
The show will be available to watch on Dec. 1, 2020 at 5pm ET on Broadway Cares' site. The free livestream will then be available through Dec. 5, 2020.
Bill Russell and Justin Ross Cohen will share directorial duties, with musical direction by Janet Hood.
